Area 51 and the Aliens

Known as “Area 51,” the secret military base was used by US presidents, including George H. W. Bush and Barack Obama, to testify about UFOs and aliens. The controversial secret base has long been the subject of conspiracy theories, including the existence of crashed alien spacecraft and bodies of Roswell 1947 pilots. However, the alleged UFO debris was actually a part of a government project, intended to determine the state of Soviet nuclear weapons research.

Although the official government has denied any knowledge of Area 51, many people have argued that it is a prison for extraterrestrials, much like Guantanamo Bay. Unlike Guantanamo Bay, aliens in Area 50 do not wear orange jumpsuits or listen to heavy metal music. Moreover, there are a number of sightings of extraterrestrials in the U.S., and the location has been used for experiments.

The controversial Area 51 myth has become an icon in conspiracy theories. The CIA’s Oxcart and U-2 programs were officially acknowledged in the declassified documents released by the CIA. There are numerous sightings of aliens in the area, but the official documents have never referred to the facility. But even the most ludicrous of Area-51 conspiracy theories can’t shake the popular perception of a secret base for aliens.
