After downloading and installing SQL Server, it’s time to set up the server. The first step is to select the installation location. For local installations, run Setup as an administrator. The next step in the SQL Server installation is to select the SQL Server installation media. You need to choose a default path. You can also install the software locally on your computer. Depending on your environment, it may be installed on a network share. This will allow you to install SQL Server in the same directory as your database. In this way, you can choose how you want it to look like. You can choose the custom settings you need, such as the number of instances and the size.
